Description

All full-time faculty have a Ph.D. This allows our program to retain accreditation by AACSB. Part-time faculty must hold a minimum of a MS/MBA in the field they teach.

This Certificate in Accounting prepares candidates to practice the profession of accounting and to perform related business functions with applications to specific for-profit, public, and non-profit organizations.Typically, students who pursue the Certificate are seeking an academic program of recognized quality that will help them prepare for careers in accounting. In combination with a bachelor’s degree earned at an appropriately accredited institution, the Certificate in Accounting meets the current minimum accounting educational requirements to sit for the Uniform Certified Public Accounting Examination in Indiana (administered by theNational Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), https://nasba.org/exams/cpaexam/indiana/), if students select the correct electives.

Thus, candidates choose if they want to pursue taking the CPA exam. All students who choose to sit for the CPA exam are advised to take a CPA Exam Review course before taking the exam. The cost of those courses range from over a $1,000 to $4,000.
