The instructor qualifications are that they must be a registered nurse and to have taken the QMA Train the Trainer course.
Our Qualified Medication Aide program is 5 weeks of classroom. The classroom session is 2 days a week from 8 am till 3 pm to complete the required 60 hours of classroom. Classroom instruction includes lecture and Instructor demonstration of tasks in the QMA scope of practice. Students will then be required to demonstrate proficiency of tasks to the Instructor to finish their perfomance checklist. Once classroom hours are completed, the students is required to do 40 hours of Practicum at the approved facility of their choice.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must register 1 week before class starts.
