Description

Program Faculty must hold a valid RN license and be certified through the state through the Train The Trainer program.

QMA’s are members of a team responsible for giving residents in extended care environments the correct medication. This course meets Indiana State Department of Health standards for QMA training. Topics covered include: roles and responsiblilties, legan/ethical issues, resident's rights, communication and inerpersonal skills, care, infection control, safety & emergency procedures, intro to pharacology/medication classification, administering medication and storage, anatomy systems, nutrition, immunity and infection, and vital signs.

All students must be a CNA and have at least 1,000 hours of CNA work in. Students will be required to show documentation proving the 1,000 hours has been completed.
