A program that prepares individuals to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills in support of engineers and other professionals engaged in maintaining consistent manufacturing and construction standards. Includes instruction in quality control systems management principles, technical standards applicable to specific engineering and manufacturing projects, testing procedures, inspection procedures, related instrumentation and equipment operation and maintenance, and report preparation.Six Sigma Green Belt certifications provide participants with enhanced problem-solving skills, including an emphasis on the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) model. The Green Belt has two primary tasks: first to help successfully deploy Six Sigma, Six Sigma implementation fundamentals, data-driven management, choosing the right projects, tracking Six Sigma project results, project management using DMAIC and DMADV, emphasis on the "Define and Measure" phases of DMAIC and process behavior charts and measurementsystems. This class will prepare you for the Lean Six Sigma certification exam.
Must have at least 3 years of experience in one or more are using the Six Sigma body of knowledge. Candidates wanting to get certified must work in a full-time paid position.
