Description

All faculty are registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensed by the Indiana State Department of Health. Additionally, the Program Director holds a Masters degree and all clinical coordinators / didactic faculty possess Bachelor's degree.

The St. Vincent College of Health Professions Radiography Program is a 22-month, full-time educational program that trains individuals to perform diagnostic radiography. Radiographers perform general X-ray, fluoroscopy, CT, mammography and interventional radiology in various settings from major medical centers to clinics to small physician practices. The SVCHP Radiography Program enrolls 1 cohort annually every August. Admissions is selective based on academic history, work experience, and interview skills. The program requires about 32 hours a week of on-site clinical and classroom participation during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours per week during the summer term. Program graduates receive an Associate of Applied Science degree and are eligible to take the certifying exam from the ARRT. From 2017- 2021, theSVCHP Radiography Program graduated 86% of students and had 100% pass rate on the ARRT exam and 100% employment rate.

Minimal requirements for consideration are:1. Be 18 years of age or older by August 1 of the enrollment year.2. Be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal "green card" resident.3. Minimum 15 credit hours of 100 or higher level courses completed from a regionally accredited institution 4. Minimum 2.50 college GPA (4.00 scale) 5. Completion of the following general education areas: Mathematics: minimum 3 credit hours Communication: minimum 3 credit hrs6. Completion of at least9 or more combined credit hours from the following general education areas (not every area needs 6 hours): Information Systems Social / Behavioral Sciences Natural Sciences7. All general education courses must be completed with a letter grade of "C: or higher.8. All required general education courses must be completed by August 1 of the enrollment year.
