Description

ALR Educational Health Services Inc. is a licensed Education provider in the State of Indiana and Florida. We are licensed by Indiana State Department of Health ISDH and the Florida Board of Nursing. We currently offer CNA, QMA and Continuing Education Units such as CPR and First Aid. All courses will be taught and are currently taught by a Licensed or Registered nurse per Indiana/Florida Law.

A program that prepares individuals, under the supervision of physicians and other health care professionals, to draw blood samples from patients using a variety of intrusive procedures. Includes instruction in basic vascular anatomy and physiology, blood physiology, skin puncture techniques, venipuncture, venous specimen collection and handling, safety and sanitation procedures, and applicable standards and regulations. Once the course has been complete per state and federal guidelines students will receive a certificate of course completion. The minimum program length is two weeks. The two weeks will include, one-week classroom instruction and a minimum of three weeks of practicum experience. Practicum hours may exceed the minimum of three weeks but may not exceed a maximum of six months total for course completion. The National certification organization requires a minimum of 100 clinical hours and 100 venipunctures. Seeking National certification is optional and not required for successful course completion per ALR EHS. The student has 90 days to complete the National Certification requirements to redeem the test fees included in this course.

Prerequisites: The student must have: A. High school diploma, GED, or in pursuit of a High school Diploma, GED must be complete prior to course completion B. Proof of Hepatitis B virus series or Signed Declination FormC. Must have an interview with the Instructor or Program Director. D. 18 years of age or older E. TB/physical F. Background Check G. Drug Screen (Optional per clinical site)

This course will be offered quarterly or monthly per Program Director and admission. The application deadline will be one week prior to the start of the course.
