Qualifications of Instructors:

B.S. Degree, OSHA Trainer Certified, MSHA Trainer Certified.

Program Description:

Students will become OSHA 40 HAZWOPER certified hazardous waste operator, obtain OSHA 10 Construction certification to identify on-the-job hazards, and be given three days of instruction on a CAT simulator hydrolic excavator, CAT simulator D8T Dozer, and actual hands on a Bob Cat utility tractor operation. All students will recieve a written resume and assistance in finding employment in the geographic area desired to work. Total of 80 hour instruction/student contact.

15.0508 Hazardous Materials Management and Waste Technology/Technician A program that prepares individuals to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills in support of engineers and other professionals engaged in identifying and disposing of hazardous materials. Includes instruction in environmental safety principles, biohazard identification, testing and sampling procedures, laboratory techniques, instrumentation calibration, hazardous waste disposal procedures and systems, safety and protection procedures, equipment maintenance, and report preparation.
