High School diploma or HSED, and 2 years industry experience, or equivalent
A program that prepares individuals to professionally prepare mixed alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and related products and manage bars, lounges, and beverage service operations in the hospitality industry. Includes instruction in mixology, oenology, accounting and cash management, inventory and cellar management, bar and lounge management, applicable laws and regulations, customer service, and labor/employment regulations.
This program in Regions 9 and 10 are in partnership with River Valley Resources, Inc. The training will be offered as an IET/WEI and enrollment into AE is a prerequisite. Orientation to be held one week before training begins andwill be a requirement as will a background check completed by Midwest Bartenders School. A 4th grade TABE score will be required at orientaion for entry into the IET/WEI.Students with felony convictions will be considered on a case by case basis.
