Standard Ivy Tech credentialing
A program that prepares individuals, under the supervision of physicians, nurses, or other health care professionals, to perform medical office or facilities management services and perform one or more clinical allied health specialties. Includes instruction in health care management; medical office administration; medical law and regulations; training in one or more diagnostic, treatment, therapy, or laboratory specialties at the assistant level or above; and applicable professional standards and ethics.
Proper nutrition is critical for positive health outcomes of home care clients. Therapeutic diets can increase the longevity and quality of life and facilitate the management of chronic disease in the client’s home. This course will teach fundamental concepts for providing adequate nutrition through the preparation of safe and wholesome meals. Through hands-on engagement students will learn meal planning, food preparation, and presentation of food. This course prepares students for a certificate exam.
