Instructor with 17+ years in the workforce welding industry and (AWS) American Welding Society certifications.
A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to join or cut metal surfaces. Develop entry level skills needed to obtain certification as a Structural Welder and Gas Metal Arc Welder. To produce high quality fillet and groove welds in all positions on various thickness metals up to 3/8” thick. Introduction welding symbols. During the class you will also complete OSHA 10 and receive your card. Upon successful completion of this program, the student will have passed at up to 15 tests as well as visual, guided bend tests. The final test will be proctored by a third party Certified Welding Inspector (CWI). Must have a minimum of 5 students and a maximum of 16 to hold the class. Class will be held 4 nights a week for 3 hours each class. Program will last 7 weeks. Tuition includes supplies, tool kit, lab fees and certification cost.
A High School/HSE Diploma required or must be enrolled in an HSED program.
Steel toe or leather boots are required.
Two weeks prior to class start date.
