Childhood education courses are instructed in a variety of settings such as traditional classrooms, online classes, on-campus labs, and field experiences. From on-campus labs to community learning opportunities, the early childhood education program gives students a chance to practice and analyze their emerging skills. Students take their skills to real early childhood education settings, earning real world experiences with children, community members, and current educators. This program includes various service learning experiences, providing students with a sense of community. The ECED program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC standards focus on providing high-quality educational and developmental experiences for children, birth through 8 years old. Please consult with an advisor to determine which classes in the Completion Guide are the best option to take.
