Instructor with 17+ years in the workforce welding industry and (AWS) American Welding Society certifications.
A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to join or cut metal surfaces. Individuals will receive training and be tested in the following subject areas: Shielded Metal Arc Welding and Shielded Metal Arc Welding Advanced. You also develop entry level skills needed to obtain certification as a Structural Welder and Gas Metal Arc Welder. Upon successful completion of this program, the student will have passed at up to 15 tests as well as visual, guided bend tests. All certifications will be proctored by a third party Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) which will be held on a Saturday, passing of these tests will earn you the AWS certification. Must have a minimum of 6 students and a maximum of 20 to hold the class. Classes will be held 4 nights a week for 3 hours. Tuition includes supplies, tool kit, lab fees and certification cost.
High School Diploma/Equivalent or currently enrolled into a HSED program.
*Steel Toe or Leather Boots are required.
Two weeks prior to class start date.
