Faculty are certified as craft instructors by the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER). Adult Basic Education teacher with Indiana Educator licensure is used for the math instruction.
The course will give you the skills needed in the construction industry in various crafts and for supervisory roles. It covers topics such as safety, construction mathematics, hand tools, power tools, construction drawings, rigging, communication skills, employability skills, and material handling. You will learn the industry standards for performance of construction tasks, which will enable you to properly train and supervise others during your career in construction.
Demonstrate 8th grade completency in Math on the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE).
One week before training begins.
