Faculty must have Comp TIA A+ certification.
The Hope Training Academy Cyber Security Foundations course will start entry level IT and security professionals on a path of fundamental IT knowledge and certifications that will allow the student to demonstrate a baseline level of knowledge before taking our Cyber Security Apprentice program, where studentsbuild your skills with CompTIA Network+ & Security+. To become prepared for a Cyber Security career, students need a baseline understanding of the most common hardware and software technologies used on the network. After all, how can you support a network and implement security if you don’t understand what is attached to it? In our Cyber Security Foundations course, students will gain TWO industry certifications with CompTIA A+ certification, which mirrors the skills of an IT pro with six months of IT experience and assesses the skills necessary to support IT infrastructures, which includes device hardware, software, networks and security, from an entry-level IT pro perspective. If you are a beginner and don’t have CompTIA A+ or six months of IT pro experience, students will gain knowledge of the basics with the CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification. This is the beginning of the IT and cyber security career pathway. If you want a career in IT and you are new to the profession, then IT Fundamentals is the best place to start to learn more about the world of IT and the IT profession. Our dedicated team will provide guidance and mentorship to ALL students regardless of prior skill, ability or experience. If the student is just starting their IT/Cyber Security journey they will find no better way to start than with a CompTIA IT Fundamentals course and certification, to pave the way forthe A+ certification.
