Instructors are required to hold a Master's Degree, preferrably an MBA, MAOL, or other business related degree program.

Program Description:

This non-credit, three-course certificate prepares military personnel and other adults in transitionsituations to successfully navigate the movement to civilian service in leadership, management, and direct supervision roles. Candidates gain an understanding of the private enterprise system, methods of initiating businesses, networking with peers, and the unique elements of corporate culture. Candidates will also develop an understanding of the dynamics of business and best practices for effective communication across large and small organizations. There is a focus on critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to encourage positive interactions and measurable collective accomplishments.

Includes instruction in principles of general management, manufacturing and production systems, plant management, equipment maintenance management, production control, industrial labor relations and skilled trades supervision, strategic manufacturing policy, systems analysis, productivity analysis and cost control, and materials planning.
