The program faculty will be led by a licensed registered nurse and registered medical assistant. The billing and coding instructor will have field experience and will hold a billing and coding certification or other related medical certificate/degree.
A coding and billing specialist helps the healthcare facility manage insurance claims, invoices, and payments. In the CBCS program, the students will learn the day-to-day work of a medical coding and billing specialist includes: Properly coding services, procedures, diagnoses, and treatments. Preparing and sending invoices or claims for payment.
The prerequisites for the program will require students to have a high school diploma or high school equivalency certification (GED/HSE).Students must pass an entrance exam on campus.
The application deadline will be one day prior to the start of classes.
