The three-week training program utilizes a combination of NCCER classroom and field instruction to provide the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to obtain employment in the excavation industry as an entry level wheel loader, backhoe, skid steer, compactor, or off-road dump truck operator.

49.0202 Construction/Heavy Equipment/Earthmoving Equipment Operation A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment, such as a crawler tractors, motor graders and scrapers, shovels, rigging devices, hoists, and jacks. Includes instruction in digging, ditching, sloping, stripping, grading, and backfiling, clearing and excavating.

Prerequisites Description:

Must have the physical ability to get up and down on a piece of equipment frequently on a daily basis without assistance.
