Instructors must have a minimum of two years practical experience in the CDL field, hold their CDL-A licensure a minimum of 2 years, and be able to pass all FMCSA, BMV, and Criminal background checks.
This CDL-A truck Driving Training Program is desinged to prepare students for the CDL exam. This class consists of Entry Level Driving Training (ELDT) classroom instruction, range instruction, and behind the wheel. The course includes training on "Truckers Against Trafficking" as well as career readiness and adult basic education to be able to successfully read shipping papers, receipts, report logs, report delays, verify loads, and keeping records of cargo and fares. Students will leave with a CDL-A license with Airbrake Endorsement ready to begin employment.
Upon completion of the training course, our instructor will take the semi to a partnering third party testing site to allow the student to test on the truck they trained on. One paid attempt at the driving exam is ncluded in the tuition fee.
Students must be a minimum of 18 years of age, have had a valid license for over one year, must pass BMV and Criminal background checks. Must pass drug screen and DOT physical. Students must score a minimum of 517 in Math and 536 in Reading on the TABE Assessment or already have passed their permit exam at the BMV.
