Math Instructor is a Licensed Teacher by the State of Indiana. The hands-on training is performed by a career instructor with experience in this field and holds a NIMS Certification in the course they are training.
This 8-week integrated course begins with two weeks of introductory MakerBot 3-D printing, including printer safety, setup, slicing, printing, and basic troubleshooting. The final six weeks combine the existing CNC Machining Level 1 curriculum, including milling operations, measurement, program formats, machine setup, turning, CAD/CAM, and NIMS credential preparation. The course includes Adult Basic Education, Career Readiness (ESS), and Workforce Training.
Students must pass sex offender background checks. Students must score a minimum of 539 in Reading and minimum of 528 in Math on the TABE Assessment or minimum of level 4 on the WorkKeys Workplace Document assessment and level 4 on the WorkKeys Applied Math.
