Our program drector holds an ASN nursing degree as well as a BS in Business Administration.
The TNA to CNA bridge program is an 18 hours course that expedites training for TNA's to become CNA's. Per ISDH guidlines, after completeing the 8 hour online course and working at least 49 hours in a facility, the TNA is credited for comepleting 57 of the required 75 hours of training to become a CNA. Our course offers the required 15 hours of class time and 3 hours of clinical time that must be completed before the July 1, 2022 deadline. The class work encompasses the RCP's (resident care procedures) and covers the CNA curriculum that was not covered in the previous training they received. The clinical portion, that takes place in a LTC facility is to further strenghthen their skills as Certified Nurse Aides.
The pre-requisites for the course include:1. 8 hour online training to attain TNA certificate2. Proof of working at least 49 hours in a LTC facility as a TNA
Applications for class must be turned in a week a head of time.
