Program Description:

The Healthcare Management Assistants are sometimes considered Medical Assistants. The students learn to assist the healthcare administrators plan, direct and cooridinate medical and healthe services. The students will take vitals signs such as taking vitals such as temperature and blood pressure. The students will learn both adminstrative and clinical task. The students will learn about recruiting, hiring, supervising medical staff to ensure compliance with patient privacy laws and other pertinent federal, state and local requirements. The course teaches the importance of dependability, professional judgement and ethical decision making. They are generally employed in physicians' offices, hospitals, outpatient clinics and other healthcare facilities.
