C1's Class B CDL training course is a two week, 80 hour program. The first week is classroom/theory training where students learn rules, laws and regulations and review other topics directly related to being a commercial driver. Students also start to become familiar with the parts of the truck and begin the process of learning a proper pretrip inspection during the first week of the course. The second week is behind-the-wheel training where students spend time in and around the trucks mastering the operation of the air brakes, learning basic control and backing maneuvers, performing required inspections and assessments, and learning how to safely operate Class B equipment on the public roads. Following the two weeks of training a student will be ready to take the state certified test with an approved 3rd party tester. C1 is an approved Class B training provider as noted on the federal Training Provider Registry.
