The faculty in this program all hold advanced certifications including CISSP (one of the toughest certifications in the industry). Several of the faculty members also hold doctorates in the field of IT and Security.
This program is designed to take a learner, who is interested in the field of technology, from a beginner to someone who is ready to enter into the field as an IT Support Specialist. During the boot camp students will be prepared and tested with the intent that they will be able to pass both the CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ certification exams. This will be done through the use of online virtual labs, prep tests and exercises which prepare the students to think through situations and determine the proper solutions. If a student is wanting to progress into the fields of security and cybersecurity, this boot camp will prepare them for the next phase of their training which would be to prepare for the CompTIA Security+ certification and then depending on their interests continuing on into preparation for either the CompTIA CySA+ certification or the CompTIA PenTest+ certification as can be seen in the CompTIA Cybersecurity pathway chart.
Students need to understand how to use a computer (turn it on,browse the internet, bookmark pages, create a user id and password) and be able read and follow instructions.
This program operates on a year-round schedule with classes beginning every three weeks.
