Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Hoosier Health Care Training Center Nurse Aide Training Program requires30 hours of classroom instruction. During this classroom session, we will review the required manuals from the Indiana State Department of Health. There will also be some demonstrations from the instructor to review the required 72 Resident Care Procedures. After completing the classroom session, the students will complete 75 hours of clinical time. As part of the enhancement program, the student will complete Soft Skills Training through Unlocking Your True Potential and complete a medical terminology program. Once the above has been completed, the student will attend a mandatory 6-hour review session and sit for their state exam.
Nurse Aide Training applicants must be able to read and write English, and able to understand basic math addition and subtraction should be at least 16 years old. Need to pass the statewide background check and TB test. and Physical examination. An applicant must be able to perform physical duties under a Certified Nurse Aide'senvironmental demands. Note: the cost of state testing fee, TB, and physical examination are included under the Misc cost listed below. Lab fees are part of the extensive review and preparation for the ISDH written and skills competence exam. Hoosier T-shirt and maroon scrub pants.
