Instructors must have the required education and experience to appropriately teach the program content. Examples of education and experience include, but are not limited to, certificates and/or degrees from postsecondary institutions; certifications from industry-recognized agencies, and practical work experience in, or in a field closely related to, the career fields the program prepares students to enter. MedCerts confirms each instructors’ academic background and work experience to ensure they are qualified to teach in the program.
The HF-3000 NASM Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach program teaches the knowledge and skills to prepare graduates to earn two certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)-Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC). NASM's Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification is NCCA-accredited. The combination of the Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC) certifications demonstrates proficiency in multiple aspects of the fitness/lifestyle industry. This program consists of the Essentials of Personal Fitness Training and Essentials of Nutrition Coaching courses and includes topics like flexibility, cardiorespiratory, core, balance, power, strength, nutrition science and healthy diet. The goal is to prepare students for personal training and nutrition coaching for a wide variety of potential clients. The cost of compentency assessment materials and the exam fee needed for this program (are covered by MedCerts). They are not included in the tuition costs and the student is not liable for any costs or fees related to the above materials.
