PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy degree) and CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician)
Emerge Learning Institute’s comprehensive 16-Week Pharmacy Technician Training and Certification Program prepares students to take the Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) and earn their Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credentials. During the 16-Week program, students receive training through instructor-led classes supplemented with digital interactive content. Some of the subjects included in the training program are Top 200 Drugs (brand, generic, and indication), drug and medical terminology, pharmacy calculations, sterile and nonsterile compounding, the dispensing process, basic pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, Federal Privacy requirements, infection control, wellness promotion, unit dose systems and medication repackaging.We also provide career exploration and enrichment references and resources to our students. From continuing education (CE) opportunities, resume writing, career interviewing preparation to cultural competency training and networking, students complete our program prepared to ignite their career. Upon completion oftrainingstudents will receive a certificate of completion, complete an externship and be eligible to take the national certification exam offered by National HealthCareer Association (ExCPT) or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCE) to earn their Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credentials.
18 years of age or older**High School Diploma or G.E.D.Valid State or Government Issued Photo IDNo criminal background**If student does not have a high school diploma or GED, they must submit proof from the School (this can be in the form of a letter) and submit documentation that they are actively pursuing a high school diploma or GED.
Application deadlines are one week prior to the start of class.
