All ASPIN Instructors have a bachelor’s degree or 2 or more years practical experience as a Community Health Worker. All instructors have completed ASPIN’s industry-recognized Community Health Worker certification and must keep their certification active by earning 14 CEUs annually.
The Domestic Violence Certification provides students the opportunity to learn how to assist others who may be dealing with abuse. The course includes 6 modules that teach types of domestic violence, how to recognize warning signs, and the proper way to help others legally, emotionally, and physically. The modules included in the course are as follows: 1. Introduction to Domestic Violence 2. Types of Domestic Violence 3. System Responses to Domestic Violence 4. Domestic Violence and Substance Use Disorder 5. Youth Violence 6. Domestic Violence Prevention and Support
Must be at least 18 years old. Must have at least a high school diploma or GED. Must have a personal email address (a computer and internet access is required).
