CDL Training staff must have CDL-B a minimum of 3 years and approved by the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles holding an an Indiana BMV Instructor License.
This program is 9 days totaling 88 hours including Entry Level Driving Training classroom, behind the wheel public driving, observation, range instruction, distance learning, and career readiness. Students will pretest at registration. Upon completion of training hours, students and instructors will take our trucks for a day of testing at our partnering 3rd party site. Students will test on the bus they trained on. Students will be licensed to drive all CDL-B vehicles such as straight trucks, utility trucks, box trucks, and dump trucks with small trailers.
Students must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid driver's license for a minimum of 1 year, must be able to pass BMV driving record and background checks to work in the school system. Student must pass drug screen and DOT physical. Students must score a minimum of 536 in Reading and 517 in Math on the TABE assessment. Students will be licensed to drive all CDL-B vehicles such as straight trucks, utility trucks, box trucks, and dump trucks with small trailers.
