CDL Training staff must have CDL-B a minimum of 2 years and approved by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
This program is 9 days totaling 88 hours including Entry Level Driving Training classroom, behind the wheel public driving, observation, range instruction, distance learning, and career readiness. This is a partnership with White River Valley School Corp. utiziling their school bus and employment opportunities.Upon completion of training hours, students and instructors will take the school bus for a day of testing at a third party driving test site. Students will test on the bus they trained on. Students will be licensed to drive all CDL-B vehicles such as straight trucks, utility trucks, box trucks, and dump trucks with small trailers.
Students must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid driver's license for a minimum of 1 year, must be able to pass BMV driving record and background checks to work in the school system. Student must pass drug screen and DOT physical. Students must score a minimum of 518 in Reading on the TABE assessment or minimum of level 3 on the WorkKeys Workplace Document assessment. Students will be licensed to drive all CDL-B vehicles such as straight trucks, utility trucks, box trucks, and dump trucks with small trailers.
