The facility is governed and accredited by the Kentucky Commission of Proprietary Education. Our course meets FMCSA guidelines. Instructors are required to meet Kentucky test requirements and pass a background check.
At Truck America Training of KY, LLC, our training is comprehensive and designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills neccessary to pass the CDL A skills exam. We train you on everything that you will need to know to become a Professional CDL A Driver. Our CDL training is based off industry standards and the CDL A test. The full-time Class A driver training program includes a week of classroom instruction, hands-on, and behind-the-wheel training. Classroom, field, and road training are completed at the school training grounds and on actual roadways.

A commercial drivers license or instruction permit shall not be issued to a person while the person is subject to a disqualification from driving a commercial motor vehicle or while the persons drivers license or driving privilege is suspended, revoked, or cancelled in any state or jurisdiction. Our admissions will go over a questionairre with you and advise you on any impediments to employment before attending.
Applications are accepted year round
Some grants (VA Post 911, WIOA, Vocational Rehabilitation, VA Vocational Rehabilitation, VRRAP, KY Farmworkers, NAET (Native American Educational Assistance). Not all are eligible for these grants and some of the grants only have funding available on and off. Our admissions department will help you with this. FASFA and Pell grants do not work for this type of school but we do have a financing option available for those who qualify.
