The instructor will have a minimum of 6,000 hours working in the plumbing field over the course of three years. The instructor will also posses an EPA 608 Universal certification.The instructor is also endorsed by North Mechanical, a regional HVAC company. This endorcement lends industry accountability and the highest standards of quality. The faculty selected is involved in holding a job fair with othercorporate partners and 5-8 local HVAC companies that have hiring needs.
The HVACprogram at Wayne Township Adult Education will provide 14 weeks of instruction that offers and indepth introduction into HVACdefinitions principles, customer service and soft skills, safety, science and math, HVACsystems and products, and basic soldering. Students also have the option to participate in two weeks of field experiences to learn how the classroom lab activities are applied in the workforce.The course also has instruction from the NCCER Level 1 HVAC. Students will also complete the OSHA-10 general contsruction certification.
Students must be at least 18 years old. Complete TABE testing with a score of M3 or higher. Pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Ongoing Admission. Classes run fall (August - December) and spring (January - May) semester.
