The instructor will have a minimum of 6,000 hours working in the hvac & plumbing field over the course of three years. The instructor will also possess an EPA 608 Universal certification, lending industry accountability. The faculty selected is involved in hosting a job fair with other corporate partners and 5-8 local HVAC companies that have hiring needs.
The HVACprogram at Wayne Township Adult Education will provide 14 weeks of instruction that offers and in depth introduction into HVAC definitions principles, customer service and soft skills, safety, science and math, HVAC systems and products, and basic soldering. Students also have the option to participate in two weeks of field experiences to learn how the classroom lab activities are applied in the workforce.The course also has instruction from the NCCER Level 1 HVAC. Students have the ability to obtain EPA 608 certification, NCCER Core Certification, WIN soft skills certificatoin, and OSHA-10 Construction certification.
Students must be at least 18 years old. Complete TABE testing with a score of M3 or higher. Pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Ongoing Admission. Classes run fall (August - December) and spring (January - May) semester.
