Faculty is a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credentialed through the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) and Indiana University. More than 5 years of practical experience in the dental field, with a strong focus on dental assisting and dental radiology. Professional background includes extensive hands-on clinical work and over a decade of training and instructing students in both entry-level and advanced dental assisting concepts.
Faculty holds industry-recognized certification and clinical instruction across various dental programs. Qualifications meet and exceed the minimum instructor requirements, which include more than two years of practical experience in the subject area, along with certification through a nationally recognized accrediting body.
Abaci Dental Solutions Dental Radiology course is a Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) approved program that covers important topics related to both conventional and digital radiography and prepares students to pass the DANB Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) exam which is required to be a licensed dental radiographer in Indiana. The program is an interactive hybrid and online learning experience broken down into six (6) course modules using multimedia exercises to teach students dental radiography concepts. Following each lesson students will complete learner assessments, to track their progress. Students also have the option to go back and review any part of the course at any time, and retake post-course assessments while enrolled in the program. The program includes a clinical component consisting of hands on training and an internship working under a licensed dentist and exercising skills on patients. Students complete the course prepared to pass the national licensure exam and the skill set to assist dentist and expose diagnostic dental radiographs.
