All ONLC's CompTIA Instructors hold a minimum of a 2-year degree and must be CompTIA Certified in the subjects that they teach.

Program Description:

General Description: In addition to providing a solid foundation in computer information systems and technology, this program gives you the opportunity to earn multiple IT industry certifications—A+, Network+ and Security+. You'll gain critical knowledge of hardware/software, networking and cybersecurity through our live, instructor-led classes. This program provides 120 hours of course content.

ONLC is a CompTIA Authorized Partner providing high-impact authorized training and a curriculum that's geared for certification success. All CompTIA training is indepth with hands-on exercises and labs to ensure you're learning and will be prepared not only for the certification exam, but also ready to handle real-world IT situations and problems.

11.1003 Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance A program that prepares individuals to assess the security needs of computer and network systems, recommend safeguard solutions, and manage the implementation and maintenance of security devices, systems, and procedures. Includes instruction in computer architecture, programming, and systems analysis; networking; telecommunications; cryptography; security system design; applicable law and regulations; risk assessment and policy analysis; contingency planning; user access issues; investigation techniques; and troubleshooting.

Prerequisites Description:

IT, short for Information Technology, encompasses the field of computer technology. There are many different types of IT professionals but in large part they test, build, install, repair, maintain hardware and software, troubleshoot, plan and possibly even oversee a company's computer and information systems.

In the IT field, certifications are extremely valuable. Unlike vendor-specific certifications, CompTIA's certifications get candidates ready to support a wider array of systems. Included for hardware/software is CompTIA A+, networking is CompTIA Network+ and cybersecurity is CompTIA Security+.
