All staff hold a valid Class A CDL, and have held this for 3+ years. All driving instructors also have backgrounds in training positions using a commercial motor vehicle.
Our program trains safe and efficient drivers in FMCSA credentials in order to obtain their Class A Commercial Driver's License by providing the necessary information required by the FMCSA. Theory provides 40 hours of online training that covers all the necessary Entry-Level Driver Training required by the FMCSA. Students must complete the course with an 80% or higher to move forth to range and road. Additional tutoring is provided if a student is in need of assistance in raising their score to above an 80%. Range and road provide up to 120 hours of hands-on vehicle training, which covers basic control, vehicle inspections, backing skills, and driving instruction. Students will rotate between staff to ensure all learning types are met and that a comfortability is reached with different scenarios while learning to become a safe driver. Using the skills learned in the course, the student will be prepared to obtain their Class A CDL license by passing the Class A CDL examination provided by the State of Indiana, including pre-trip, range, and road tests, while safely operating a commercial motor vehicle and using their knowledge of the trucking industry provided to them during training.
Deadlines for applications are every Friday at 12:00pm CST. Classes begin every Monday at 8:00am CST, unless there is a holiday on a Monday, which will then have a Tuesday at 8:00am CST start.
