All full-time faculty have a Ph.D. This allows our program to retain accreditation by AACSB. Part-time faculty must hold a minimum of a MS/MBA in the field they teach.
This Certificate in Accounting prepares candidates to practice the profession of accounting and to perform related business functions with applications to specific for-profit, public, and non-profit organizations.Typically, students who pursue the Certificate are seeking an academic program of recognized quality that will help them prepare for careers in accounting.
Candidates for the Accounting Skills for Professionals Certificate must have a bachelors degree awarded by institutions that were accredited at the baccalaureate level by the Higher Learning Commission (or comparable regional association) at the time the degree was granted.Candidates may be able to transfer courses from their previous degree to satisfy the programs prerequisite courses (i.e., financial and managerial accounting) or other program requirements.
August 1 for Fall admission; December 1 for Spring admission; May 1 for Summer admission.
