Instructor Qualifications:Requirements for Instructor Eligibility Obtain endorsement from an ATS Sponsor Representative for instructor certification. Possess a minimum of 4 years' experience at the journey or technician-level in their specialized area or a minimum of 3 years' experience as a certified educator in a vocational/technical program related to construction or maintenance. The credentials of instructors must be assessed and sanctioned by either the Sponsor Representative or qualified personnel and retained through any of the subsequent methods: A diploma from an accepted secondary or post-secondary institution in the pertinent field(s) for teaching/evaluation. A resume detailing practical involvement in the curriculum subject or specific module(s) intended for instruction. Verified evidence of successful completion of the National Craft Assessment and Certification Program (NCACP) assessment in the relevant fields. A state-issued license in the respective field(s) for teaching/evaluation. Appropriate certification from a State Department of Education relevant to the subject matter.
Program Description: This training introduces trainees to the plumbing profession. Trainees will become familiar with the tasks and responsibilities of professionals in the construction industry. Upon completion of this level, the trainee will be able to do the following: 1. Describe the history of the plumbing profession. 2. Identify the responsibilities of a person working in the plumbing industry. 3. State the personal characteristics of a professional. 4. Identify the stages of progress within the plumbing profession and its positive impact on society. 5. Identify how green technology is incorporated into plumbing.
Prerequisites Description:Core Curriculum is generally inlucluded in Level 1 - However; it can be completed at any time during the program.
