Our journeyman machine repair and industrial maintenance apprenticeship program offers on the job training while attending school. The standards of our apprenticeship program were developed in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship. It is tailored to meet the needs of Applied Metals and create a well-rounded employee. It is a time-based 4-year program with 8,000 required hours of on the job learning and 800 hours of education. You will be a full-time employee of Applied Metals with benefits while working on your certificate. You will work Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with occasional overtime and an on-call program. You will attend school in the evenings. After you have completed 90 days of employment you are eligible to enroll in classes for the upcoming semester.
