Qualifications of Instructors:

Instructor must hold a Bachelors degree or have equivalent experience and have obtained the MSSC-CPT certification. Must have obtained AMATROL training from AMATROL or certified instructor.

A qualified adjunct faculty member, including Dual Credit, Workforce Alignment, and a full-time faculty teaching outside their discipline, meets the technical course standard through one of four routes:

Meets the full-time faculty discipline standard; or
Possesses a Department of Labor, Bureau for Apprenticeship Training recognized journeyman’s card in the discipline directly related to credentials, certifications, and competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR), and in journeyman status for two years or more with experience that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR), and
Possesses any specialized certifications required for the class being taught as indicated in the Curriculum of Record (COR); or
Possesses any specialized certifications or credentials required for the class being taught as indicated in the Curriculum of Record (COR), and
5 years directly related work experience in the field that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR); or
Possesses a current Workplace Specialist License, Technology Education License (Technology and Engineering Education, Engineering and Technology Education), or CTE: Trade & Industrial Engineer or Manufacturing License granted by the Indiana Department of Education appropriate to course objectives and directly linked to credentials, certifications, and competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR), and
Possesses any specialized certifications required for the class being taught as indicated in the Curriculum of Record (COR).

Program Description:

The purpose of the MSSC Certified Technician-Supply Chain Automation (CT-SCA)™ Equipment Maintenance (EM) training is to prepare technicians who install, operate, support, upgrade, and maintain the automated material handling equipment and systems which support the supply chain. MSSC CT-SCA-EM certificate to be received upon successfully passing of the examination. Key Learning Objectives:

Implement and remove equipment/system safety protocols
Identify and operate major automated equipment/systems
Monitor machine/system operation
Ensure key parts and components are available in inventory
Implement preventive maintenance
Perform preventive maintenance
Establish monitoring and maintenance schedule for equipment/lubricant condition
Safely use hand tools to maintain equipment
Communicate with co-workers to promote productivityPerform technical and administrative duties

15.0407 Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering Technology/Technician. A program that prepares individuals to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills in the support of engineers to the design, development, and operational evaluation of autonomous, computer-controlled, electro-mechanical systems. Includes instruction in computer and software engineering, control engineering, electronic and electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and robotics.
