NHA creates and administers nationally recognized certification exams for various allied health professions — including Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) and Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) — but it does not itself accredit or set faculty requirements for training programs that prepare students for its exams. The role of NHA is to provide the certification exam and related resources, not to regulate the educational providers directly. American Council on Education
There’s no publicly available set of “faculty qualifications” specific to online medical assistant training on the NHA site. NHA focuses on certification standards and exam eligibility for students, not on dictating how programs should staff their training or what qualifications instructors must have. Community discussions also suggest that NHA doesn’t mandate what instructors teach as long as the candidate meets eligibility requirements for sitting for the exam.
