CompTIA A+ Certification

· Possesses an earned bachelor’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in information systems, information technology, computer science or computer-related field as appropriate to the program, with one or more of the following:

§ Professional certification (national, regional, or state) in the field

§ Two years of in-field professional employment

§ Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including date of award

§ Documentation of research and publication in the field

§ Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military.

Program Description:

his course serves as an introduction to Information Technology (IT) fundamentals, providing students with essential knowledge and skills necessary for understanding and navigating the field of IT. The course covers key foundational concepts, principles, and practical applications across various domains within IT. Students will explore the fundamental components of computer hardware and software, network basics, data management, and information security principles. Students will also develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential for addressing IT challenges. This course also assists learners in preparing for the CompTIA Tech+ (Formerly called IT Fundamentals+) certification exam. This course also helps professionals decide if a career in IT is right for them and it can help organizations prepare non-technical teams for digital transformation.
