The Instructor of this course holds a MBA with a specialization in Healthcare. The Instructor also has been a Certified coder since 2012; and is an approved Certified Instructor of AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders), CPC-I credential; and is an approved Vendor for AAPC. The insturctor is currently pursuing a Juris Doctor (J.D.) with a focus on healthcare law, compliance, and contract governance. Skilled in regulatory strategy, coding audits, payer contracting, and team development.

Program Description:

This Program is designed to offer an in-depth Medical Coding Coder Workshop to individuals that have completed a Medical Coding training course. This course will provide a detailed review of the current year medical coding guidelines and coding updates and will aid them in either passing the exam to become a medical coder or being more proficient in their current coding profession.

Includes instruction in medical records and insurance software applications, basic anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, fundamentals of medical science and treatment procedures, data classification and coding, data entry skills, and regulations relating to Medicare and insurance documentation.
