This training is one of several around the state run jointly with Indiana Construction Roundtable Foundation. The instructor, Rob Nance, is the Executive director of the foundation and holds a Masters of Science degree.
This course curriculum is designed to provide hands-on training in safety, construction math, tools, drawings, rigging and communication. In 8-9 weeks, graduates earn NCCER Core andOSHA 10 certifications. The program culminates in a job fair with hiring construction employers. The goal is to place 100% of course graduates.
Students must be 18 years of age by the start of the training. It is recommended that participants have an 8th grade math level.
