Instructors for the First-Line Supervisors Training program each have obtained at least a Master's of Business Administration as well as credentials as Project Management Professionals (PMP) with Project Management Institute (PMI) and have industry experience in areas such as skilled trades, manufacturing and operations, business administration, transportation, agriculture, hospitality, sales, security, and information technology.
The First-Line Supervisor Training program uses the MEAL PREP acronym to teach managerial and leadership skills to new supervisors and aspiring supervisors across 21 in-demand industrires in Indiana.
M - Management - basic training in orgamizational structure and managment EA - Essential Analytics - data driven decision making L - Leadership - basic training in honor-based boundaries
P - Project Management - plan, organize, execute R - Realism in Business - pragmatic decision making E - Experiential Training - team building exercises for emergent leaders P - Practice - "Dialogue/Discuss/Debate", "Act It Out", "Identify the Target"
Candidates must complete the free PMI Kickoff course and share their badge of completion with the admissions representative.
