The instructor is a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) and a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant College Instructor, with over 10 years of professional experience in diverse healthcare settings, including clinics, private offices, hospitals, and a homeless population health clinic.
This program is designed to teach the techniques for performing accurate vitals, medical histories, phlebotomy, CLIA-waived testing, wound dressing, injections and front office standard procedures as a CCMA would in the field. Our instructors will guide you as you gain a thorough understanding of the following: EKG Administration Laboratory & CLIA-Waived Tests Phlebotomy & Specimen Handling Medications & Pharmacology Patient & Exam Room Preparation Charting & Medical Histories HIPAA & Patient's Rights Standard Precautions & Safety Medical Terminology Anatomy & Physiology Injections & Wound Dressing Professionalism & Office Tasks. Upon successful completion of the course, students will obtain a CCMA National Certification through the NHA and a certificate of completion of the course through Ideal Testing and Services.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. At least 18 years of age or older.
