The EMT Education Program offered at our facility is a comprehensive, hands-on training course designed to prepare students for certification and entry into the emergency medical services workforce. Classes are held on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, providing flexibility for working adults and non-traditional students. Instruction is led by a team of highly credentialed and experienced EMS professionals who bring real-world expertise and dynamic teaching methods into the classroom.
A distinguishing feature of our program is its robust clinical and field internship component. Students complete their clinical rotations in hospital settings and participate in field internships with EMS providers in and around Gary, Indiana. This geographic placement ensures exposure to a high volume and wide variety of medical and trauma cases, offering students a unique opportunity to gain meaningful, real-world experience in both urban and suburban environments. The program’s structure and clinical partnerships provide students with the skills, confidence, and competence necessary to succeed as entry-level EMTs in today’s demanding healthcare landscape.
