All instructors meet or exceed the minimum requirements for providing training, including clinical demonstration and job readinss instruction. Documentation is available upon request.
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program prepares participants for entry-level employment in long-term care facilities, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, assisted living facilities, and other healthcare settings. Students receive instruction in resident care, infection control, communication skills, vital signs, safety procedures, activities of daily living, documentation, professionalism, and patient rights. The program includes classroom instruction, laboratory skills training, and clinical experiences designed to prepare participants for the Indiana Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation and employment as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Applicants must be at least 18 years or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S. While a high scholl student diploma or GED is not required, applicants should demonstrate the ability to read, write, and follow instructions. Priority is given to WorkOne/WIOA-eligible individuals such as unemployed, underemployed, reentry, or snap recipients.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. New cohorts begin monthly. Students are encouraged to apply at least one week before the intended start date to ensure orientation and Workone voucher processing.
