This course introduces students to industrial sewing operations in a manufacturing environment. Emphasis is placed on safety, machine operation, ergonomics, preventative maintenance, reading production prints, and performing standard stitches using lockstitch and other industrial machines. Students will complete a series of hands-on sewing projects in alignment with production standards. The course includes OSHA 10 on-the-job safety and health work practices complying with OSHA regulations. Completers will receive a 10-hour card from OSHA.

4. APPRENTICE WAGE SCHEDULE
Apprentices shall be paid a progressively increasing schedule of wages based on either a percentage or a dollar amount of the current hourly mentor wage rate, which is:
