Paramedic Certification/License
This program includes the following components: a combination of online and live theory lecture; multiple laboratory sessions for students to practice topics learned in theory; 60 hours of required EMS clinicals; 24 hours of required hospital clinicals; 24 hours of required hospital or EMS clinicals; 20 required patient contacts.
Requires EMT certification and license.
The student must be able to read and write in accordance with at least an 8th grade level. Must be able to read, write and speak English at a conversational level, including the ability to learn medical terminology.
The School of EMS operates on a rolling admissions schedule. As such, AEMT courses are offered throughout the year to accommodate the needs of community partners. Students must apply at least one month before the start date of their chosen AEMT course.
The School of EMS offers a $1000 discount to AEMTÂ students who have completed their EMT certification through our school. For these students, the program length is shortened to five weeks.
