Our instructor has over 5 years of industry experience working in both retail and hospital pharmacy settings and currently holds an active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification. Their professional background provides students with real-world knowledge, practical skills training, and industry insight relevant to today’s pharmacy practice environments.
The Pharmacy Technician Program is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in retail, hospital, outpatient, and specialty pharmacy settings. This comprehensive program combines lecture instruction with hands-on lab training to provide students with the foundational knowledge and practical skills needed to assist pharmacists in medication preparation, prescription processing, pharmacy calculations, inventory management, insurance billing, and customer service. Students will also learn pharmacy law, medication safety, pharmacology, sterile and nonsterile compounding, and professional workplace standards. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be prepared to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification exam.
