Current Clinical Medical Assistant Instructor
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) credential
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with 18 years of experience
Currently working in Labor and Delivery
5 years of experience as a Telemetry Technician with experience in cardiac rhythm interpretation and patient monitoring

Additional clinical experience includes patient care, EKG procedures, phlebotomy, medical assisting, clinical training, and hospital-based healthcare services. This combination of instructional and hands-on clinical experience supports the delivery of quality training aligned with healthcare industry standards and workforce needs.

Program Description:

The EKG Technician Program is a short-term hybrid healthcare training program designed to prepare students with the foundational knowledge and practical skills necessary to perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) and assist with basic cardiac monitoring procedures in healthcare settings. The program combines live virtual and in-person instruction to provide students with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice.

51.0902 Electrocardiograph Technology/Technician A program that prepares individuals, under the supervision of physicians and nurses, to administer EKG and ECG diagnostic examinations and report results to the treatment team. Includes instruction in basic anatomy and physiology, the cardiovascular system, medical terminology, cardiovascular medications and effects, patient care, EKG and ECG administration, equipment operation and maintenance, interpretation of cardiac rhythm, patient record management, and professional standards and ethics.
