All instructors delivering NCCER Masonry Level 1 instruction through Skilled US meet the minimum qualifications established by NCCER for Certified Craft Instructors under the Accredited Training Sponsor (ATS) Guidelines. To be eligible for NCCER instructor certification, an individual must possess at least one of the following: journey- or technician-level experience (at least 4 years) in the specific craft they wish to teach, or a minimum of three years of experience as a certified teacher in a vocational/technical construction or maintenance-related training program.
Masonry Fundamentals: Bricklaying, Block, and Mortar Craft is an accelerated, full-time Integrated Education and Training program delivered by Skilled US that prepares adult learners (18+) for entry-level employment in the masonry trade. Over six weeks of Monday–Friday, in-person instruction (8am–4pm), participants complete 180 hours of NCCER Masonry Level 1 curriculum (5th Edition) across ten modules — spanning trade safety, tools and equipment, materials handling, mortar mixing, blueprint reading, bricklaying and CMU block techniques, and residential masonry assemblies — alongside 27 hours of pre-training workshops and 12 embedded hours of workforce readiness activities.
WorkKeys assessment (minimum level 3 with a score of 73+) in applied math and workplace documents. US Citizen.
